I watch to see how quickly a box of matches will burn. I think of the arsonist who recently set the terrible fires ablaze in the Canary Islands. I picture him - a combination of Elvis Costello and Peter Gabriel- weeping, "Oh why did I do this? I've caused so much desperate trouble."
I want to hear his story in a ghoulish way but when I do the truth is too tragic.
